Primary Instrument: Clarinet
Favorite college memories: Performing Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade with the WCUniversity orchestra in February 2004 is definitely at the top of the list. Playing with my best friends (the concert master, principal flute and principal oboe) was amazing. The woodwind parts are so much fun! Traveling to Romania and Sicily with the orchestra were also fantastic opportunities that I am thankful for. I also cannot forget the very last time I stood on the podium in front of the "Incomparable" Golden Rams Marching Band. The infamous performance was the 75th Anniversary show at the TOB Atlantic Coast Championships in Scranton, PA. Who knew spelling WEST CHESTER U could be such a difficult task?!
Favorite Activities: supporting live music, conducting, hiking, kayaking, listening to loud music in the car or at home (but not when I use headphones!), hanging out with my mom & dad!
Other than music, I enjoy: traveling, cooking, tennis, recreational sports, the Phillies & Eagles, collecting insects, going to the movies, kickboxing, coffee, ice cream, mani/pedi spa treatments, Sporcle, playing board games and shopping!
My favorite artists/composers/bands are: Sergei Prokofiev, Percy Grainger, Pearl Jam, The Foo Fighters, Dave Matthews Band, Lady Gaga, Thievery Corporation, James Taylor Quartet, Alfred Reed, Led Zepplin, OneRepublic, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Stan Getz, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Debussy, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Electric Light Orchestra, The Who, Bernard Herrmann, No Doubt, Green Day, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Weezer, Stevie Wonder, Tool, The President's Own Marine Band, Steve Miller Band, Airmen of Note, The Army Blues, King Crimson, Yes, John Williams, Beck, Cream, Duke Ellington, Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Aaron Copland, John Mayer, etc.
